ANOTHER BIRTH
Another Birth is a multi-sensory dance installation that traces the entangled experiences of three generations of Iranians — mother, daughter, sister and non-binary person — each shaped by displacement, revolution, censorship, and the search for home.
Through movement, archival audio, and personal testimony, the work weaves a living map of memory and exile, echoing across time and continents.

THE CAFÉ
The Café is an invitation to be a voyeur; to eavesdrop on private conversations in public; to witness intimate relationships up close and personal.
The Café is a site-specific theatre-piece that had a sold-out run at the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival back in 2023, it now exists in its online format through Re/Play at The Cultch, and we are set to be commissioned for a new iteration of the project in 2026/27.

SPAPƏYƏQ
Spapəy̓əq by Quelemia Sparrow is a reclamation, site-specific play that will take place on the land called spapəy̓əq which is known now to settlers as Brockton Point in Stanley Park. Many Indigenous and mixed race families, spanning generations, lived in spapəy̓əq. They were forcibly removed from the land and their homes were burned to the ground. In this immersive remembering we find ourselves in layers of time confronted by the forgotten families of spapəy̓əq.

MOTHER TONGUES
Mother Tongues is an audio-visual installation which celebrates the intersectionality and the complexity of experiences of queer EAl speakers, and the layers in which they exist, both in the world and in relation to the languages of English and their mother tongue. The notion of one’s experience of self versus one’s expression of self – in which one relies on the sense of self through the gaze and the proximity to others – is a core topic for this project.

UNVEILED
Unveiledwas a narrative composed of story fragments drawn from Iran’s revolutionary political movements of 1936, 1979 and 2009. Our protagonists were two women “caught up in the moment” of these societal upheavals. The focus was on the aftermath for those whom the 1979 revolution did not bring about the societal and political changes they desired, and how the repetition of a second attempted revolution thirty years after the first was a disappointing echo of the same experience.

APHOTIC DREAM

Aphotic Dream was a combination of dance and theatre exploring erotic spaces and the interstitial spaces within the realm of human condition.

ANOTHER WINDOW
Another Window is an annual cabaret featuring a diversity of talent and genres including music, spoken word, drag and more. The premise for this show is that Vancouver is just a big enough place that most of our cultural audiences are segmented into disciplines, genres and social identities. This event is designed to knock down these walls and build community in the process.
